We have gotten a lot of pressure to start a blog. Being the loquacious (ha ha) one of the family, I guess I get to do it. Really it was just easier for me to do than Karen. She will probably do most of the blogging in the future. We shall see.
Anyway, I need to tell about this weekend. Karen persuaded (commanded) me to take our 2 kids camping with our neighbor (Cabe) and his friend. We were all taking all of our kids camping and leaving our wives home alone. We had tons of fun, even though Cory and Hailey had stomach issues. (I was woken up at 1:30 AM for a potty run and vomiting spell) Cory caught his first fish on a real lake. I caught 3 fish as well. Of course all of the fish we caught were 2 feet long. :-)
While we were gone, Karen really "missed" us. She got to go get ice cream, buy dinner, get her hair cut, and watch "Miss Potter." She told me it was good, but slow. After the movie, she still had a few hours of daylight left so she went running and took an extremely hot bath. Then she went to bed at 10:30. She woke up at 8:30, made herself German pancakes, and left to spend money in Park City. She found lots of "great deals" and an expensive sandwich shop for lunch. The kids and I got home and had time to unload the car and bathe the kids before Karen arrived. When she got home, we told each other all about our adventures and Karen said she had fun but not as much fun as she expected. She missed Hailey, but for some reason, I was not included in the original expression of heart longing. I guess I know where my place is in the family. Oh well, Hailey is soooooooo adorable so I can't blame her.
I am sure we will write more later.
